Who is and Appraiser?


An appraiser is a professional who has the information and ability important to assess the estimation of a benefit, or the probability of an occasion happening, and the expense of such an event. Preferably, an appraiser demonstration autonomously of the purchasing and offering parties in an exchange to touch base at the reasonable estimation of a benefit without inclination. (Investopedia, 2018)

According to Business Dictionary, “A certified individual who is qualified by education, training, and experience to estimate the value of real and personal property”. (Dictionary, 2019)


The job of an Appraiser


An appraiser's main responsibility is to decide the present estimation of a property.

According to Real Tor, a large portion of the work is done nearby where the appraiser will:

  • ·         “Conduct a room-by-room walk-through to determine interior condition.
  • ·         Walk the length of the property to determine exterior condition.
  • ·         Evaluate any amenities such as a swimming pool, finished basement, or built-in bar.
  • ·         Note any health or safety code violations.
  • ·         Record the layout of the property”. (Tor, 2015)

Who is an Appraisee?


According to Cambridge Dictionary “an employee involved in a meeting with a manager to discuss the employee's progress, aims, and needs at work”. (Cambridge, 2019)

A role of an Appraisee


  • ·         View performance evaluations as a chance to grandstand your achievements
  • ·         Be a functioning supporter of the procedure
  • ·         Assume liability for your own exhibition and expert improvement
  • ·         Chance to interface office objectives with your expert improvement plan. (Synergita, 2019)

  1. In simple terms, As nouns the difference between appraiser and appraisee is that appraiser is one who performs appraisals while appraisee is one who is appraised; one undergoing an appraisal.

  2. am referring to the above title and in simple language you can take it as Performance Appraisal. This should not be an annual or half-yearly ritual or the appraisee should not think of it as a huge pay rise or bonus.

  5. In general, it would be preferable for an appraiser to be a physician (the same medical sub-specialty may not be possible). However, this is not mandatory and will largely depend upon the decisions of the employer, and the availability of trained appraisers within the specialty.

  8. The role of the traditional appraiser is restricted and limited to predetermined quantitative performance indicators. More attention to be paid to consider qualitative measures such as commitment, accuracy and the passion of work, etc
